SEAT debuted the new FR trim level for the Tarraco SUV at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show and has now added an FR Sport model.
Available in the UK from February 11, the 2020 SEAT Tarraco FR and FR Sport trim levels bring a more dynamic look and added features to the seven-seat SUV. As with the model on sale in mainland Europe, Britain’s Tarraco FR brings a more aggressive body kit to the table.
As for the SEAT Tarraco FR Sport, it boasts an even more dynamic appearance thanks to 20-inch ‘Cosmo’ grey alloy wheels and black leather sports seats. The FR Sport also gains more tech as standard, including rear and top-view cameras along with SEAT’s winter pack consisting of heated front and rear seats and heated washer nozzles.
The self-parking Park Assist system is standard on both the FR and FR Sport and it includes front parking sensors.
Customers can have the Tarraco FR and Tarraco FR Sport with a choice of three engines: a 148 HP (150 PS) 1.5-liter TSI Evo turbocharged four-cylinder petrol, 148 HP (150 PS) 2.0-liter TDI four-cylinder turbo diesel and 187 HP (190 PS) 2.0-liter TDI oil burner. The petrol unit is only available with front-wheel drive while the 4Drive AWD system is optional on the 148 HP diesel and standard on the 187 HP variant.
Available transmissions include a standard six-speed manual for the 148 HP petrol and diesel engines and an optional seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic (standard on the 187 HP diesel).
Prices for the Tarraco FR range between £31,680 ($40,980) and £38,070 ($49,245) for the 148 HP 1.5 TSI Evo and 187 HP 2.0 TDI DSG 4Drive, respectively. Equipped with the same engines, the SEAT Tarraco FR Sport is priced between £33,430 ($43,245) and £39,820 ($51,510).
