Hellwig Products has turned the 2019 Ford Ranger XLT into an “Attainable Adventure” truck for the SEMA Show.
The manufacturer of towing, hauling and performance suspension products converted the midsize pickup into an overland exploration vehicle complete with two Specialized electric mountain bikes and a bed-mounted kitchen.
Considering that the custom truck also features a Tepui Hybox rooftop tent, as well as a bed rack and awning by Yakima, it targets overlanding enthusiasts who don’t want an RV.
Since such a vehicle is likely to spend much of its time off the grid, the Trail Kitchen bed-mounted kitchen and ARB fridge installed on a BedSlide will definitely come in handy. Powering the auxiliary electronics and charging the electric mountain bikes is the job of a GoalZero Yeti 1400 portable power station and solar panels. Bed-mounted accessories also include a RIGD hitch swing for the mountain bikes, Daystar fuel cans, and a Krazy Beaver Shovel.
The “Attainable Adventure” Ranger was built by Old Steel Fabrication in Leona Valley, California. Off-road modifications include a Stage 5 Suspension System by Icon Vehicle Dynamics, 35-inch Falken Wildpeak M/T tires wrapped around 17-inch ICON Alloys Compression wheels, Bushwacker fender flares, as well as front and rear bumpers from Addictive Desert Designs.
