Pagani Zonda R Makes A U-Turn At Goodwood, Somehow Hits A Haystack And Loses Front Blade

The accident looks expensive, sounds cringy and is apparently the only one recorded at Goodwood this year.

A peculiar incident was recorded during the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, involving a Pagani Zonda R and a haystack. You can already see where this is going, so if you’re a Pagani fan, now would be a good time to look away.

The Italian supercar was filmed doing a 180-turn, perhaps lining up for the start line to go up the famous hill climb. Moments later, it stuffed its nose in the haystack, with the sound alone being enough to turn all eyes present towards it.

We don’t know what led to the weird accident, but it could be one of two things – either the driver miscalculated the maneuver or he was distracted. Regardless of what happened in the seconds before the light impact, the Zonda R was left with a bruise on its face, losing one of the front blades, too.

Subsequent to the incident, the supercar was driven back to Pagani’s stand, where those on scene tried mending it the best way possible. It appears they succeeded to temporary attach the loose part to the body, as during the official run, which can also be seen on video below, the Zonda R was not missing any blades. Of course, the accident could’ve happened after the run, and the video editing would let us believe otherwise. Still, it goes without saying that it can happen to the best of us.
